The original company of A Redpath & Son was formed with one 32 tonne Arctic in 1955 moving livestock and agricultural products within the Scottish Borders.  Expansion followed and in 1994 the company became Valley Transport with a fleet of 10 vehicles ranging from 7½ ton trucks to Artics.  At this time it was decided to concentrate purely on the transportation of Livestock – moving cattle, sheep and pigs between farms, markets and abattoirs throughout Britain

Valley Transport has built up a strong client base with both independent farmers and blue chip companies thanks to the efficiency and professionalism of their staff centred around the care of the animals that they transport
