FULLY CERTIFIED LIMITED EDITION Following the great success of the launch model of the brand new casting, Creative Master Northcord Limited is pleased to announce the release of UK5019, carrying Oxford Bus Company colours, the first model of the Citaro EEV with curved windscreen. UK5019 represents fleet number 868 (JF57 OXF) that was new to Oxford Bus Company in early 2008 and is a single door vehicle. Oxford Bus Company has built up a fleet of nearly 50 Mercedes-Benz Citaro single deck buses since the first was delivered in December 2002. Oxford Bus Company is sensitive to the responsibility of operating in a historic city, and its policy is to minimise the environmental impact of its activities. For 15 years, the company has been at the forefront of emissions control and this model of 868 (JF57 OXF) shows the latest example of that. In partnership with Mercedes-Benz, this bus goes beyond Euro 5 and is to EEV (Environmentally Enhanced Vehicle) standard. EEV was first developed as a target for emissions from gas powered buses and demonstrates how diesel technology can make emissions ultra-clean. UK5019 features the smooth, curved windscreen with the destination display set behind the windscreen glass. The Mercedes-Benz Citaro EEV UK5019 is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the square-mounted, double-glazed windows and the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the UK5019 model is its extensive portrayal of handrails. The headlight / indicator units at the front and indicator / tail light units at the rear are made of individual, translucent components to look more realistic. The brand new single door Mercedes-Benz Citaro EEV bus models will be limited to 1000 pieces worldwide.
