1:76 SCALE MAN05CS_C - Pollock Scotrans MAN TGX Cab The history of this well-known Scottish haulage company goes back to 1935 when George Pollock started a local cartage business in Corstorphine, just west of Edinburgh. In 1949, under nationalisation the company became part of British Road Services, in which George was appointed Group Manager for East Lothian and the Borders. It was all change again in 1954 when part de-nationalisation gave George the chance to buy some vehicles and licences, opening a business in Musselburgh. It was at this point that the famous turquoise, gold and red livery was born. His two sons Ian and George also entered the business and in 1963, Ian added the distinctive tartan to the livery, as well as naming each vehicle. This tradition is still alive today, with a third generation of the family – Scott and Fraser – now in the family firm. Our authentic Oxford model carries the name Matty and is decorated in Pollock's latest corporate trailer livery, with registration S4 PSL, Fleet No. 38.
