Adam Jones & Sons was founded in 1895 by Adam Senior with a horse drawn furniture removal service.  The business was then passed down to fourteen-year-old Adam Junior who continued furniture removal but also moved into road stone distribution from a local Midlands quarry.

Adam ventured into general haulage in the 1940s, and with a fleet of six trucks and a furniture van, became a limited company in the 1960s.

Adam Jones Junior's three sons took over the firm in the 1970s, with this Atkinson Borderer in their fleet.  Under their management, Adam Jones has now expanded into a group of companies that specialise in nationwide transport, palletised distribution, warehousing, logistics and property management

Hauliers of Renown is the flagship of Corgi’s road transport range of die-cast models - amazingly detailed, each model is a tabletop replica of a truck from the UK's most famous haulage fleets.
