1-50 SCALE Scania 110 Tandem Axle Tilt Trailer Chapman and Ball-Stoke on Trent-CC15304 FULLY CERTIFIED LIMITED EDITION MODELS ARE NEW BOXED IN MINT CONDITION Chapman & Ball began their business in the 1960s from a small depot in Biddulph, Cheshire. Owned and operated by Dick Chapman and Arnold Ball, they specialised in bulk haulage, running a large fleet of tipper lorries throughout the UK. In the early 1970s Jack Cory became a partner and soon after his appointment, the company diversified into long haul intercontinental transport, specialising in groupage loads to Europe, Greece and the Middle East where the striking orange and black liveried trucks soon became very recognisable on the roads to the East. As business grew rapidly, many owner drivers (subcontractors) were employed by Chapman & Ball including Robert Dodds-Brown whose Scania 110 is modelled here. In the late 1970s, the business was sold to another Intercontinental haulage company; Jenkinson’s of Manchester who were also engaged on “the Middle East run”.
Hauliers of Renown is the flagship of Corgi’s road transport range of die-cast models - amazingly detailed, each model is a tabletop replica of a truck from the UK's most famous haulage fleets. Every model, is recreated in superb 1:50 scale and comes in customised presentation packaging.
