MODELS SUPPLIED ARE NEW BOXED IN MINT CONDITION. CMNL is proud to release another brand new livery on its well-known casting – the Alexander ALX400-bodied Dennis Trident. This is UK1043 carrying Manchester-based Finglands Coachways livery, featuring Finglands 1760 (X584 XKH). Established in 1907, Finglands has developed into one of Greater Manchester’s leading public transport operators. Finglands operates buses to the University from Sale, Northenden, West Didsbury, East Didsbury, Didsbury, Withington, Rusholme and Manchester Piccadilly. Buses run frequently from 07.00 am until the early hours. Finglands became a subsidiary of the EYMS group in 1992 and its modern fleet of fifty seven buses and luxury coaches has retained its familiar livery of white with stripes of beige, orange and brown. Four Dennis Tridents with Alexander ALX400 bodywork were delivered to the EYMS Group during August and September 2000. Two were painted in EYMS livery and operated from the Hull-based company’s depot. These were numbered 660 and 661 and carried EYMS’ “cherished” registrations 546 EYB and 46 EYB. The other two were painted in Finglands’ earlier livery (with brown skirt panels) and were numbered 1763/4 (X763 / 4 ABU). All four Tridents shared the high-set roller blind destination with space underneath for the company name to be displayed prominently on the destination glass. The two EYMS Tridents were later re-registered and were transferred to join their sisters in Manchester, in June 2006, where they were numbered 1759 and 1760 (X585 / 4 XKH). 1759 was the former EYMS 660, and 1760 was formerly EYMS 661. The family resemblance through the EYMS house-style of low floor branding has been apparent all through their lives. UK1043 features the same bus that CMNL previously released as UK1006. The replica features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door and engine detail at the rear. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model has no unnecessary metal poles to hold it together. The brand new UK1043 model is based on a Limited Edition of 1000 pieces produced.
