The company’s buses and coaches originally wore a green and cream livery and operated contracts, private hires and a Blackpool Express service. A new livery of red, yellow and maroon, applied differently to each bus, was adopted following deregulation in 1986. RM441 was acquired in 1990 from Western Scottish Omnibuses, when its Clydeside subsidiary was re-absorbed and RMs operation ceased. Clydeside had sold many of its ‘cherished’ RM registration plates and named many of its RMs with male names beginning with ‘R’, RM441 duly took the name ‘Rudolf’.
