1:76 SCALE GUY Big J Tipper – Amey Roadstone-DG187013 Launched in 1964 the Big J was ‘Guy Motors’ last range of trucks before the company was taken over by Jaguar – which is why it received its name the ‘Big J’.
Amey’s history began in 1921 when William Amey started up a quarrying business and by WWII it was providing materials for the development of RAF Airfields. Later in the 1950s they were supplying the gravel for the London to Birmingham section of the M1 motorway. In 1972 the company was taken over by Hanson and was renamed Amey Roadstone Construction but in 1989 it changed names once more when the company returned to private ownership and became Amey again The Corgi Trackside collection features a great selection on die-cast road transport vehicles with authentic liveries ideal for both the 1:76 scale collector and the OO railway modeller.
